Copenhagen Wolves CS:GO one man down

It is only a bit over 1 month ago we acquired our new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team. The team has been showing some great potential and especially Joakim “Jkaem” Mybostad performed very well.

Today we can announce that Jkaem will no longer be a part of the Copenhagen Wolves CS squad as the organization Gamers2 bought Jkaem out through the ‘Job Release Clause’ in his contract.

The CEO of Copenhagen Wolves, Jakob L. Kristensen, issued the following statement:

After a great performance at DreamHack London, our team left for DreamHack Stockholm and the Major qualifier in high spirits and with confidence that they would claim a spot. Sadly, Flipsid3 brought out their A-game and we were left disappointed of not achieving the goal we all had set our hearts and minds to.

We now must figure out how to reassert our efforts and focus on the future, though we are sad to announce that we will have to do so without Joakim “Jkaem” Myrbostad. When Gamers2 approached us about potentially picking up our player, it was clear that this was something that Joakim really wanted to do. We have been in discussions internally in our organization, with our team and with G2 and we believe we have found a solution that will satisfy all parties while allowing Joakim to chase his dream at the next major.

We wish to thank him for his brief time with us in the Wolves and we wish him nothing but the best in his future.

Stay tuned to our website and social media for the latest updates regarding our roster.

We are already looking for a new player to step in and fill out Jkaems shoes.

Best of luck in the future Joakim “Jkaem” Mybostad.
